After a busy weekend at the Scout Association AGM I launched straight into the week with a busy evening of meetings.

Taking a micro tour on the tandem across the wilds of Gloucestershire for a night in Cirencester and a shopping experience at Cotswold outdoor. And yes cake did get consumed, in the rain.

It’s hard growing up listening to Radio 4 and not having a Desert Island Disks playlist in your head somewhere just in case they call to ask you on the programme. So for your enjoyment here is mine.
On Adventure and Silver Awards
As County Commissioner of Solihull I am often asked to present awards and speak at County events. In the early days I would fly by the seat of my pants quickly learning that good public speaking needs a clearer message than can be delivered through the medium of umm’s and stagnant pauses as I think about what to say next and I now plan in advance.
