About Me

Hi, My name is David J. Lodwig or Dave if you prefer that informal feel about things and this is my personal website, here I talk about anything I happen to come across that interests me as well as post my hopefully regular digital snaps and expedition photos.

I am a 20 something professional geek, engineer, VJ, theatre tech, and occasional interactive artist.  Part of the Project X Presents collective and founding member of Object X the interactive art and installation group in PXP.  I’m interested in light, sound, video, and audience interaction.  During the day I currently work for Delcam PLC. as a systems engineer mostly working in PHP and various database systems, as well as anything else they can think off.

I am dedicated to reducing my dependence on the motorcar and in 2005 started cycling to work (mostly to get fit). I now use my bike to travel all of my local journeys up to about 20 miles each way. I currently cycle between 150 to 200 miles a week on average.

Most of my free time is devoted towards scouting and running a small troop on the eastern side of Birmingham. More information about my scouting behavior appears in the scouting pages and mostly in the blog.

This site is primarily a weblog with chronological archives, if your looking for something in particular then try the search function otherwise feel free to have a look around. If you are feeling terribly confused by all this, why not sit down and have a cup of tea.
